Chathuri Wijekoon will soon leave to visit the laboratories of Dr. Rumiana Dimova who leads the Biophysics Laboratory within the Department of Theory and Bio-Systems of the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam, Germany. She will gain experience with generating so-called giant uni-laminar vesicles as simple mimics of biological cells.
